David Oldridge Appointed CEO of Tradeport Hong Kong
HONG KONG, 6th December 2001 -- The partners in Tradeport Hong Kong are pleased to announce that David Oldridge has been appointed Chief Executive Officer ("CEO") of Tradeport Hong Kong Limited. Mr. Oldridge will be responsible for the implementation of the Tradeport project at Hong Kong International Airport and the set up and delivery of the company's service offerings. He will further develop and implement the business strategies and vision for this major development in logistics services provision.
The Tradeport Hong Kong Consortium won the tender in February to build a major new logistics centre that will help position Hong Kong as a world leader in air cargo and special logistics. Partners in the consortium include China National Aviation Company Limited, Hongkong Land, Jardine Logistics, and Pantares, the airport alliance created between Fraport AG - Frankfurt Services Worldwide and the Schiphol Group.
Mr. Oldridge has been involved in the logistics market for some 20 years. Before joining Tradeport Hong Kong, Mr. Oldridge held a number of logistics appointments with companies across Australia and Asia Pacific.
Most recently, as Vice-President for Logistic, Asia Pacific, at BAX Global from 1998 to 2001, Mr. Oldridge developed a team that successfully implemented many WMS installations in less than 3 years, and significantly increased the scale and scope of that company's logistics business. He brings with him a wealth of highly relevant knowledge and experience in global as well as regional logistics.
Mr. Oldridge has also served as an Executive Director to the Board of PT Global Indonesia, where he was directly responsible for the domestic logistics operations, GoTrans and CityTrans.
Mr. Oldridge has his Masters from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, 1993. He is 47 years old, and is married [Amanda] with 3 children. [Jordan, Harrison, Kirby]

Tradeport Hong Kong Limited signed a development agreement with the Hong Kong Airport Authority in February this year to build and operate a logistics centre at Hong Kong International Airport. The consortium consists of Hongkong Land Holdings and Jardine Logistics Services (HKG) Ltd, holding 37.5%, Pantares, the airport alliance created between Fraport AG - Frankfurt Services Worldwide and the Schiphol Group, holding 37.5%, and China National Aviation Company Limited, holding 25%.
